I am kind of having difficulty on figuring out the following.

Provided that each of the mathematics department below has professors working in the area of my interest, how should I put them in order of toughness to get in?

1. Boston university

2.CMU


3. Rutgers


4.Stony brook


5.Rice


6.Emory


7.University of Arizona

8.Michigan state


9.UNC at Chapel Hill

In terms of difficulty in getting in, it would appear it's Stony Brook > Rutgers > UNC > Rice > CMU > Michigan State > Boston > Arizona > Emory.
