Waiting for decisions?
Waiting for decisions?
I applied for Applied Math PH.D. I got one offer and waiting for others. Since the time is approaching to responding date and I haven't heard back some schools yet. Do you guys have any suggestions that how to inquiry application status? Since I am pretty sure most of schools already send out first round offers. If I am in the good positon of waiting list, I am willing to wait longer. If I am already rejected without notification, it will help me to make the decision. Thank you

Yeah I am kind of in the same position. May I ask what school has offered admission to you?dangxing wrote:I applied for Applied Math PH.D. I got one offer and waiting for others. I think a polite and short email where you indicate that you have received an offer but are still waiting for an offer from them
because they are your top choice would suffice.

My only acceptance is from UNC. How about you? Since for those schools I really want to go, their graduate directors or admission office barely reply me. Hence I don't know what to do.

I got into U of A but there are some schools I would like to hear from before I make a decision. I guess we have to wait a while.

I got waitlisted at U of A... lol
Re: Waiting for decisions?
I guess I will wait up to April 1. After that, I will definitely ask the graduate director for the decisions........marco wrote:I got into U of A but there are some schools I would like to hear from before I make a decision. I guess we have to wait a while.

Pure or applied? And have you gotten a financial offer from them already? I have been accepted to their applied program but haven't received any funding information yet.marco wrote:I got into U of A but there are some schools I would like to hear from before I make a decision. Re: Waiting for decisions?
Isn't April 15 the deadline for us to accept offers? I was told that USA schools have an agreement that no acceptance of any offer can be official until April 15 or later. (although rejecting an offer any time is final!)

Re: Waiting for decisions?
This is true, but some of us would prefer to just get that decision out of the way sooner rather than later so we don't have to deal with all this stress on our shoulders! That's the position I'm in anyway. I'm not sure that I speak for everyone.Legendre wrote:Isn't April 15 the deadline for us to accept offers?
