Hello everyone,
I have recently decided to take the GRE. I have Master's in both Math and Physics and have been lecturing at a University for the last few years. I have taught or tutored most undergraduate math courses including Calculus, Linear and Abstract Algebra, Real and Complex Analysis, Topology, Differential Equations, and Probability and Statistics.
I just took a sample GRE I found online (version 8767) and scored a 62/66 (990 scaled score, 95%). (Two silly errors and two legitimate).
Is this version indicative of the exam I will actually take? I have found a few other versions online and will take those as well, posting my results here.
Please let me know if I am underestimating the actual GRE and whether these practice tests are lulling me into a false sense of security.
Thank you.

Re: New here
Well, I just took another one. The second was more challenging but I was focused on finishing as fast as I possibly could, without intentionally sacrificing on score, so as to estimate how much time the actual exam would take me.
Version 9367
I scored a 54/66 (980 scaled score, 81%). (6 silly errors and 6 legitimate). The exam took me 90 minutes of the allotted 170.

Re: New here
the practice test from 2005 is a bit easier than then ones you'll see in 2013. the ones from pre-1990 are very very easy. I've heard that if you want to finish the 2013 test in 3 hours you should be able to do the pre-1990 tests in a bit more than 1 hour, with only a few mistakes.

Thank you.
