Is there a place with all errors found so far?

Is this an error? P 95, question 29. Shouldnt the answer be (4-Pi)/4? I think in the answer they forgot to subtract from 1/2... Please tell me if Im correct.

Thanks

Is it the integral of x*atan(x) problem?

The answer is valid (Pi-2)/4. Recheck your answer.

Yea... you are right. Misread the problem.

What about page 114, example 3.5? Should the equation include a 1/9 ?
And page 117, spherical coordinates paragraph, third line at the end... shouldn't it be phi and not theta?

thanks

You're right on both of those errors. I just wrote the 1/9 coefficient into the book before the z^2 term.

He confused theta with phi there.

Also, I will add that in the section on the chain rule, P. 125, u = f(v,y) and v = g(x,u) then his answer makes sense (or at least that's what I have written in my text).
