Thankfully to Grant, now we have an opportunity to post formulas using most common TeX tags.

For example:
$$f(x)=\int_{-\infty}^x~e^{-t^2}dt$$
or
$$\sum_{k=1}^N k^2$$

Isn't that just wonderful?
For embedding the TeX code, please use

tag (it is not available from the panel, so type it).
For example, the source code for formulas above was:

I mean it some time inconvenient to type tex .... /tex, it would be great if we can replace that by $....$.

When you make a post the tex feture now appears as one of the bbcode options. This way you can highlight your TeX stuff you write and then click the "tex" button and it will automatically put in the necessary square bracket stuff.

I could also make the "$" concept work but it would still need the square brackets and so it is probably easiest to go with clicking the tex button.
