Hello everyone !
The question I ask was already asked here, still I do not have clear view:
if I pass GRE General and GRE subject and would like to send ONLY General GRE scores, is it possible ?
I asked ETS directly, they told me that one can choose what scores to report using special score request form.
Still on this forum I read, that some students asked to send only General scores, but ETS reported both.
Did anyone faced the same dillema ?
I ask this question because I will apply to Computational biology programs, my major is in applied maths (Russia), I have 4.9/5.0 GPA, research experience in bioinformatics, and hopefully will get good General score.
My programs do not require subject test, it is optional (strongly recommended by some schools). I consider top 20 schools (MIT among them)
So I would like to send GRE math, if it's good, otherwise it is really important not to make application suffer from math score !
thanks in advance
ETS scores reporting - need clear opinion.
Re: ETS scores reporting - need clear opinion.
You should have indicated it when you were registering for the test.
Anyway, I recently have seen post from guy saying that despite he didn't indicated sending general score, ETS have sent them anyway. So you would better don't count on it. Or as variant, indicate canceling the score in the answer sheet in case you feel not confident during the test.
Btw., are you taking it in two weeks in Moscow? So am I.

p.s. good luck with your exam !
one more question as I just start to prepare - I found two books GRE math by S. Leduc (1 link) and GRE math Princeton Review (2 link)
1) http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-GRE-Math ... roduct_top
2) http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-Math-Gra ... 040&sr=8-1
I'm messed up, is it the same book or if it's not, what is the right book to order ?
thank you !

Good luck to you too.
Those above are the same book, only different editions (the last one is 3rd with guy face on the cover). In fact, both editions are pretty much the same in a sense of content.

I have the second edition but have spot checked with the 3rd and did not notice any differences.Natasit wrote:lime wrote: one more question as I just start to prepare - I found two books GRE math by S. Leduc (1 link) and GRE math Princeton Review (2 link)
