On the Ohio State University application, is it possible to notify and allow my recommenders to upload their recommendations before I submit my app? The application is due 12/15, so I want to allow my recommenders to upload their stuff ASAP, but I also want to spend a few more days editing my personal statement.
I'm having the exact same problem right now... have everything I need except for the official transcripts (my school can't send them online), and have already mailed them, only to find that the want you to upload scans of them into the application. I think there is an option to have the recommendations sent in paper form, but I don't know how much they would encourage that. Seems like they want to make the application process purely online.
Ohio state says "Our program strongly prefers electronic submission and upload of reference letters" so probably not a good idea to have paper copies sent. It is annoying because forcing you to request the electronic recommendations at the same time you submit the app effectively makes the deadline about a week earlier. I assume this will be a problem for other schools which use the same app processing service as OSU.
