It never reflects badly on you so long as you're respectful. Calling will get you results, though; people ignore emails.
If you're going off of gradcafe, all the admits listed there are for international students.

Yup, and some institutions do consider domestic and international applicants at different times due to various administrative and other requirements/constraints.

I am an international student though. Hopefully they're not out of seats for international students.

4 of the 10 places I applied to are expected to reply this week. 1 of the remaining 6 has already left me in the lurk.

I definitely think its too early for me to email and ask about application statuses but if I do at sometime...what is a good way to phrase it? Any input?

Phrase it very carefully. Honestly, though I wouldn't email your schools until AT LEAST a few days after you see admits and waitlists on GC. At that point you're really just emailing to get quick closure and it doesn't matter if you annoy someone.

Also wondering that too...checked the website and nothing new has been added.
According to GradCafe, it seems like we should be hearing from Duke sometime in the next couple of weeks...

There's a second Duke admit. Less likely the first admit is a troll now.

Was expecting/hoping for much action as well. Also, some weird stuff posted: Rice waitlist and Illinois reject with no acceptances posted from either school?

Rice finalized admits couple of weeks back. They took 5, wait listed 5 more.
UIUC reject is due to low TOEFL score. UIUC needs all incoming international students to have TOEFL Speaking >= 22. If not auto reject.

i see a good creative opportunity in translating grad cafe into something more visual. everybody wants to know the expected decision time for university of XYZ over the past 5 years and the demographics of their students...
anyone want to join me?

Not sure I have the time to do it. However, you might want to contact the user "untitled" over at the TestMagic board for econ PhDs. I seem to remember him doing something very similar. You might be able to use his work as a template.

Has anyone applied to Stanford ICME?
I havent got an email from them but I have noticed that there is a recently added icon 'View Your Decision Letter" shown on my Activity Status webpage. Once I clicked on it it showed me a pdf with my name and the date 01-31-2014, and no other content was in.
Has anyone also got the same "void" online Decision Letter from this department?

No way was it a slow day today. UC Boulder started sending out e-mails, and it seems so did UCSB and University of Washington, the latter for applied mathematics. Today things finally got moving

I'm the ASU admit on GC.
Both email and official letter(on MyASU) mention nothing of funding. ASU(and U of A) apparently do this every year. Hopefully, funding details will follow soon.

I just got one as well. Do they fund every PhD they admit?

I am yet to come across an unfunded admit from them. But, from what I've seen, some people have had to wait over a month to hear about funding.
Let me know if you hear anything. I'll do the same.

Eh, don't take it so hard. At a super-elite school, there's just no percentage in admitting masters. They need warm bodies for TA's and research assistants, so they admit Ph.D.'s. And its not like a giant state school where the tuition from MA candidates counts for something. Therefore, the only people you see with a masters from one of those schools are Ph.D. drop outs.

Some schools do give admits without funding. Some people manage to get external funding, so they probably wouldn't mind.

I'm just trying my best not to get too excited about it until I hear about funding.

I took the GRE two years ago when I was a senior (graduated 2012) and I just applied for a few fall 2014 master's programs. Some of them required the math GRE, so I submitted my score, but I thought it was too low (670, didn't know anything about it going in) and I didn't submit it to schools that didn't require it because I thought it might hurt my chances. Most of the deadlines still haven't passed and the ones that did just recently passed, so I'm wondering if I should submit it ...

Sorry to hear that, but did you get an e-mail to check the website? Judging from The Grad Cafe, it also seems you're not the only one that has been rejected already, but I agree it seems a bit early, given that there are no admissions yet. Still, better to find out now than wait for April.

Absolutely none of the schools I've applied to have sent me anything yet. Due to my anxiety and constant checking of my email, I decided to cut the crap and find out right away my results. So, I asked my magic 8 ball if I was going to get into any funded PhD program. Its answer was no. I asked if I was going to get into any funded masters program. Its answer was no. I asked if I was going to any acceptance letter at all. It's answer was try again later.
I hate this wait.

Anybody heard from UT Austin CSEM?
GC has an interview posted.
