Applied Mathematics (AIM) Michigan waitlist

I had been interviewed by POI for the applied math (AIM) program, Michigan on 10 Feb, 2014. I inquired about my status on 20 Feb, and the director of AIM program replied that my application is strong. But this year there are a number of very strong applicants. Although I did not make it into the first round, there is a chance that I still will be considered. He does not know when/if this will happen because it depends on many factors.

Again I inquired on 6 March and found that there has not been any update. Does anyone have a tentative idea of when they go for a second round, if there is one?
