Has anyone done a Master's at a Cal state?

I'm stressing about my stats, and I'll be a 4th year this fall, so not much I can do about before I start applying. My ultimate goal is ranked 40+, so if worse comes to worst, would doing an MS at a California State school (Long Beach or Pomona) be okay if I plan to pursue a PhD afterwards?
