Did this happen to anyone else?
Dear GRE Test Taker,
We regret to inform you that your test center will be unable to administer your GRE® Subject Test tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, 2015. Please do not report to your test center. We will contact you in approximately 3-5 business days regarding a make up test date.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have additional questions, please contact our Customer Service team at (866) 473-4373 or (609) 771-7670, or visit our Web site at
www.ets.org/gre
Thank you,
GRE Services
It was sent right before closing (4:45PM EST) from the email address
gre-info@ets.org, which is an email address I have never received emails from before.
It seems pretty fishy to me... if it isn't fake It's pretty unprofessional. What do you guys think?

Well that email address actually belongs to ETS from a google search. That sucks though. Maybe try to go there tomorrow? It's hard to reach them since they're closed at the time being.

Indeed, it is unprofessional. It's neither the first nor the last time ETS has been such.

Update.. the exam was indeed cancelled. When I arrived at the testing location they had just plastered signs everywhere saying "ETS cancelled the GRE". Some of these signs were even upside down!
Pretty crazy! I hope the test went well for everyone who actually got to take it!

Somewhat related: I met a guy at my test today who said his test was cancelled some time in the last few weeks. He arranged for a new location and took it as a standby today. More importantly, ETS did NOT refund him. So he had to pay ~$400 to take the test. He said they have a no-refund policy in their fine print.
