I've been accepted into these 3. Funding is within 500 bucks for each so no favorite there. I'm interested in applied math. Both rice and boulder are specifically applied math and Dartmouth is technically pure but I'd be in the growing and strong applied group. Each has at least one person I'd love to do research with. I'm from New England and would like to end up here long term.
The way I see it, boulder has the best research, rice has best opportunity in industry (oil), and Dartmouth has best teaching training. Not to say all of them don't have incredible training for all three.
Should dartmouth's ivy rep or any other school's rep play a part in my decision?
Anyone have any advice? (PLEASE!) Especially people with experience with any of the programs.

Hi, unfortunately I cannot give you any advice since I am also a PhD applicant. However, I got waitlisted by Boulder. Therefore, if you can tell me here your final choice someday, I will really appreciate it.

I would choose Rice CAAM. It's much better than the rest ones.

Better how? Categorically?
