Chicago Admits on Grad Cafe

There are a bunch of Chicago admits going up on gradcafe. Anybody know if they're real?

There are 4 of them now, one with extensive financial info, I would assume they are real.

Its quite possible they are only sending out a first round and will admit more, or wait list more at least, so don't lose hope yet if you are worried.

Does anybody know if these were just for pure math or was this for both pure and applied.

I contacted chicago university they told me that admission is only sent via mail and they can't disclose any information via phone nor email. Will this be the case of all universities :S ?

Definitely not. I have received 3 acceptances and 2 rejections via e-mail only. I guess it's up to the school how to send admission decisions.
