Please help! Admitted without submitting application

I just received an email from George Washington:

Can someone tell me if this is an admission? It is so weird since I did not even submit my application.

THat's weird. Why don't you e-mail the the GW grad department, attach the e-mail, and ask if they sent it? There's not much we can do especially if you didn't post what e-mail it came from.

Thank you very much for your reply. The email came from gradccas@gwu.edu and the sender is the director of Graduate Studies. Therefore, it looks rather official. I have asked them if they can send me more details about my admission. I assume that they are not very likely to respond on weekends.

Either it is a mistake, or they can see your incomplete application on your profile or whatever (I assume this is the case) and they just accepted you as if you submitted it.
