Low GRE quantitative part

Just a few days ago I have taken the GRE General exam, getting the unofficial scores:
Q:164
V:159 (I am a foreigner)

I am currently worried about the low score on the quantitative part for a math student. However, I am capable of scoring high on the GRE math subject test (at least based on the revised prectice tests), above 90%. Should I retake the general GRE, or would the subject test be enough to show my proficiency in math to the point of overwriting the low score on the quantitative part of the general test? Any suggestions and views are welcome.

If you are capable of 90% on the MGRE, why do you think you underperformed on the General test?

I didn't even look at what the test usually looks like. Also general GRE math can't be compared to the subject test, half of it is accounting.

I think a 164 on the GRE General Exam is a bad score. Moreover, the difference between scores in the mid 160's and the high 170's is usually accounted for by missing 2-3 questions. So, I don't think one can say that a student underperformed; it could have been the case that the student made some silly mistakes, ran out of time etc. I think a mid 160's is a good score, especially if if one has a high MGRE score. I still have to take both the tests in the coming weeks, though.

Let me rephrase. I think that a score in the mid 160's range on the quantitative section of the GRE general exam isn't necessarily a bad score. The difference between, say, a 165 and a 168 will be accounted for by at most 2-3 questions, and I think it's meaningless for one to compare students based on this difference.

I'm of the opinion that, in so far as one gets a score in the mid 160's, it doesn't make a lot of sense to dish out another 200 dollars in an attempt to raise one's score by 3/4 points.

A 90% on the MGRE is more than enough to show that you know what you're doing.
