Should I apply as early as possible ?

I just had a question about the application process.


Are admissions to PhD programs in the U.S. rolling admissions ? Meaning, should I apply as early as possible to schools, or should I just be sure to have everything in by the deadline ?


I can't seem to find such information on the websites. It only gives information about the deadline date.

Just make sure to have them in by the deadline. They are often rolling admissions through the spring, but they only start evaluating applications after the deadline.
