Hi guys, just wonder is it possible that applicants are rejected after they have got an unofficial offer?

That is very unlikely. I haven't heard of it happening to anyone before.

An unofficial offer usually means that the committee has decided to make you an offer, and the only thing stopping it from being official is the pending approval of the dean of graduate studies or similar. Usually, all recommendations are approved, unless there is some strict requirement not met, e.g. a university-wide language test score requirement, or minimum GPA requirement, etc.
