Tufts Math PhD

Can anyone comment on Tuft’s math PhD program? Iknow its US News ranking but it is unranked in AMS groupings. Any info will be appreciated. I am looking to do algebra/number theory.

I’m applying to Tufts as well. I cannot comment on the strength of their algebra/number theory group, but they are very strong in geometric group theory. Loring Tu is there too, if you’re interested in algebraic geometry.

It is actually ranked group III, as far as I can tell. Also looking into this school so any other info people can provide would be helpful.
