Summer Workshops for Undergraduates

Post by 6ix9ine » Sun Jan 27, 2019 1:16 pm

Hey all,

I am looking into Summer workshops for undergraduates. I'm a 4th year undergrad and have taken all the basic undergrad courses and some graduate courses (Algebra 1+2, AT, Real Analysis, Commutative Algebra (Matsumura)) so I'm looking into workshops that I qualify for. Does anyone know of any such workshops?

I've applied to Notre Dame's undergrad workshop in Commutative Algebra and Princeton's workshop in Low-Dimensional Topology/Gauge Theory.

Oh nice, I applied to Notre Dame's Undergrad workshop and also studied commutative algebra from Matsumura!!!

The Princeton thing is actually going to be held in Park City, Utah but it's partnered with IAS. Another one to look into is Princeton's summer school in geometric analysis, if you are thinking about learning about a very different area of math.

There is one at the Fields Institute in mirror symmetry and homological algebra:

Dates are July 29-August 2.

Has anybody heard about acceptances/rejections to the Women and Mathematics (WAM) program at Institute for Advanced Study?
