Maryland vs UC Davis for Applied Math

I think ultimately for me the decision is going to come down to choosing between Maryland and UC Davis for Applied Math. I am trying to get ahead of myself, and start thinking about the programs. I can use all the suggestions to evaluate the programs, so if people over here any suggestions, information, experience about the programs there, please do feel free to share.
