Apply to grad schools in Canada

Post by Eulerslittlehelper » Sat Feb 22, 2020 10:35 am

I am an international student studying in Canada now.
I will have completed my degree math and cs in 3 years, but unfortunately I don’t have any research experience.
Schools that have winter entry:
Uvic, uwaterloo, UManitoba, umcgill, uottawa, uwestern, and some safe schools

What kind of gpa do I need to get into each school?
Also, can someone tell me how to write a statement of purpose?

imo you should read the website of each school you list, and find out what information they want to see in your SoP.
Usually you will find a list of questions like why you choose this program, what makes you perfect for this program, etc. Make sure your SoP contains answers of those questions.
You may also find a short description of their program as well as their prospective students. You can tailor your SoP using those informations.

You still have plenty of time to gather research experience before you apply. See if you can work with any professor in your university.
