As the subject says I am interested in TQFT and want to specialize in this field. I'm just not sure what schools would be good to apply to since this is really a sub section of a subsection. I am not familiar with the top researchers of this field I just thought the thought of it was really cool. Therefore, I've come onto this forum to search for guidance on what schools I could apply to that would yield the best chance for me to find research within the field of TQFT. The schools can be anywhere in the world, I am very open to traveling to complete my PhD in a foreign country. (I currently go to school in the US). Thanks in advance!
In the US, Indiana is a very good place. Turaev himself and Dylan Thurston are there. Georgia Tech has Thang Le, who is also a leader in the field worldwide. Columbia is a great place because of MIkhail Khovanov but is of course more difficult to get into.
