With the 2020 Fall coming around the corner, what do y'all expect as incoming graduate students to a (presumably closed due to covid-19) University?

I'm really concerned it's going to suck unless the school opens which seems unlikely at this point. Thoughts? Predictions?

Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but I would be surprised if the majority of Universities remained closed past the summer. Furthermore, even if returning to campus is not possible, I'm not even sure that online learning is something that most Universities will opt to do. It has been mostly unsuccessful at my Undergrad institution with all courses being switched to S/F.

Most of the unis have still not explicitly mentioned about working as a TA online. UIC grad director told me that even if everything goes online, I'd still need to get a visa and move to Chicago before the course starts.

This has to do with payment. Since I was a graduate TA at Purdue this last year, I was required to be in the state of Indiana to receive payment unless I requested a change of workspace. All I had to do was fill out one form that asked me where my new workstation is.
