Since Columbia U said they will not take math Ph.D. students, UPenn makes the same announcement in an article titled "SAS will not admit new Ph.D. students next academic year due to COVID-19 financial loss" by the grad school of art and science, UPenn (but the school's webpage has not posted it yet, so not officially confirmed). Does anyone have any information about the other schools whether they admit math Ph.D. or not for Fall 2021? weird year
EDIT: Now UPenn will still accept PhD applications.

UIC are still taking applications, but they say:
At present all the graduate programs at MSCS are open for the academic year 2021-22. However we are expecting to have a smaller intake year than normal, with possibly limited funding available.
