I wanna double check this with the grad coordinator. It looks fishy. Or possibly the offers were made on Tuesday and the posters didn't bother to use the proper dates

Given how there're so many entries of acceptances and rejections today on gradcafe, it's safe to say most if not all entries today are fake and posted by a troll.

Now it sounds more sus to me. I've never thought about this possibility. It is almost insane. If this were the case, I will stop checking gradcafe or even this site. These people are going too far.

Same here. I think this year they are all sending out decision later than previous years probably because they need to go through this process online now. Many schools like UIC, UIUC has sent out decisions way earlier last year this time.

- It seems like at least two people in the forum got accepted to UCLA yesterday. Not sure if they can provide more info about it.
- I *personally* believe that the Princeton entries on gradcafe were fake since no one in this forum, including people I know, received any email. Just guessing though. If that is the case, gradcafe has unfortunately become trash, and we should just stop using it.
- There is only one Harvard entry there, so it is hard to determine its reliability.

This is not 100% reliable, but a friend of mine who is a phd student at Princeton told me it's quite unlikely that they are legit, because official emails are only sent around late January.

I did not get the response from Princeton either. One of my friend in JHU did not get response from Princeton. He told me it is possible for Princeton to give out results two times, one in Jan 15th, the other in late January.

I find this very strange. If hearing back from somewhere would change your work ethic so much that you need to drop classes, there may be something deeper that you should get help for.

It could also go the other way. Like personally, there's a few schools where if I got accepted, I'd start working my ass off until August. Particularly for the ones where you can take quals immediately and not have to take classes. If I have to take classes anyways, no point in restudying old material, but if I can test out of a sequence, I'm definitely going to start reviewing my notes. It'd be nice to know early if I should start preparing.

Every school is different but you can figure most are about the same as from past years MS and PHD offers in any major.

I think offers to international students are sent out before US applicants if anything since visa are needed.
