Is it a good idea to wait until Fall grades are in my transcript

Hi

I am applying to an applied math PhD program that says the priority deadline is Dec 15th. I am a double major student, and thus most of my advanced math courses are in my senior year (20-21). The grades for this semester will be posted sometime around Dec 20th. This school does not ask to upload fall grades after application submission, and their website says they review applications on a rolling basis.

Is It a good idea to submit the application after the priority deadline so that the school sees that I did well in my fall classes?

It depends. Some programs actually allow you to update your information (test scores, transcripts, etc.) even after the application ddl. So it would be a good idea to ask the admission office about the policy.

IMO meeting the priority deadline is more important than fall transcript. Maybe you can mention somewhere in your application saying you are taking those courses this semester and is doing well.
