Hello I would like hear some opinion before I make a final decision.
My research interest is probability/combinatorics/discrete math.
1. UC - Davis
2. UT - Austin
3. UW - Seattle
4. UW - Madison
All of them are pure math PhD program and tuition support + stipend + health insurance.
I hope to remain in academia and become a professor in one of R1 universities.
I would love to hear your opinion:)
Thank you!

Those are all great programs, particular Austin, Madison, and UW. You should probably look at specific faculty research interest at each of these schools, and see which one has the best potential advisors you could see yourself working with.

Well UT has essentially no probability. Wisconsin and Washington are both pretty good in that area. Wisconsin has a good number of people working on KPZ and random matrices, if that's something you're interested in. Don't know much about UC Davis.winteryspringly wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:05 pmHello I would like hear some opinion before I make a final decision.
