I am also wondering how many programs will be requiring or even considering the Math Subject GRE in upcoming cycles... especially for domestic applicants.

Is the Math GRE even available to take? I just checked the ETS website and it says "No test centers found based on your search criteria" for both CA and OR. It seems crazy to make us plan around a test that isn't even for sure being offered this year!

Not exactly an answer to your question, but this is what I found:

"The GRE Subject Test administrations scheduled for September 12 and October 17, 2020, were canceled due to impacts from the pandemic. The Subject Tests cannot be offered online at this time, so the next opportunity to take a Subject Test — assuming health conditions improve — will be April 2021."

Clearly testing won't be happening in April, at least in any of the U.S states I checked. The decision for programs to make seems to be: "do we punish applicants for not prioritizing rote memorization for a standardized test that may or may not be held, over doing research and learning new math?"

I would hope that program admins can see the folly in this...
