I’m trying to gauge whether or not I’ll be able to get into a statistics masters program with my current math background or if I should do a post-baccalaureate program first.
I graduated a few years ago with a degree in Analytics and minor in Computer Science. My degree didn’t include a lot of math courses so I took Calc 2, Calc 3 and Linear Algebra at a local university after graduation (while working full-time). Those classes seem to fulfill the prerequisites for a lot of the programs I’ve looked at, but I’m still not sure if it’s enough for me to actually get accepted anywhere.
I’ve read a lot of conflicting information about how easy or not it is to get into masters programs, so any advice would be really helpful. Thank you!
Strong enough math background for Statistics masters?
Re: Strong enough math background for Statistics masters?
It will. I moved from Philosophy to Math. So with no math background, if I can do it, you can definitely do it.

Yep. Wouldn't hurt to take a probability course, though.
