GRE for Fall 2022 term

Post by Weil98 » Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:53 pm

This year, most universities cancelled the GRE tests requirement due to the ongoing pandemic. I would like to know if this will stay the case for the Fall 2022 term.
So, anyone knows of some US universities that will keep the GRE scores as optional application information?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am also interested in this question. Maybe we can compile information on different schools in this thread as we come across it?

I contacted USC directly about this, and they shared with me their archaic policy on the matter:

USC: "Yes, as of right now we are requiring both the general and subject (Math) GRE for PHD admission. It is an essential part of our application process."

ME: "Do you know how test availability might influence that policy?" [esp. regarding Math Subject GRE]

USC: "If by the time we start our review and the test is still not available then it will be waived, just like this Fall's cycle."

So it sounds like they expect us subhuman applicants to be perpetually prepared for Math GRE regardless of availability, and put everything aside to take it whenever it is offered! Gotta love their stance on this.
