Mathematics GRE

I noticed that many people in this thread applied to UCSD, but I have not heard about any updates from them (or anyone) whatsoever. Do they do all their acceptances/rejections at once?

Yes, I received a notice of unofficial acceptance today. Not many details enclosed.

I got in unofficially.

Has anyone heard more news regarding UCSD? I know some have gotten in, but has anyone been told that they are waitlisted/rejected/etc.?

I got a notification that I was rejected, so you're probably on some sort of waitlist if you haven't heard anything.

I found this https://math.ucsd.edu/students/graduate/contacts. According to that link, it seems that Mark Whelan would be the person to contact (though I do not think he is the head of graduate studies if I understood everything correctly).

I emailed Mark Whelan a few days back and he said "I'm afraid no decision has been made on your application yet. We hope to have people notified of our decision within the next several weeks. I'm sorry I do not have more specific information at this time."

I am not sure what this means. Am I waitlisted?

Unfortunately, I have no clue. Though it sounds like you are still in the running, so while they may not call it a waitlist, it might essentially be that. I also remember someone getting an acceptance from UCSD on like 4/14 on last years thread, so at least with what I know now, I still believe you have a chance!
