Has anyone received a decision for UPenn yet? I saw a few people got invited to an open house, did they say when they would be making decisions?

Just emailed them. They said that the department won't be able to make first round of offers for another few weeks. And for those who didn't receive invitations, including me, I think we are doomed already.

The open house was held virtually. Once I got my admission, they had me set up plans for an individual in-person visit day.

I did contact them a few days earlier and they told me that same day that I have been waitlisted. Then they sent the email yesterday as well, even though I was already told this earlier.

This is weird. They might have a backlog sending admissions. It doesn't hurt to email and ask them. After all, why inviting people to open house if they are not admitted.

No, they just said that I was waitlisted. But they said that they expect to make more offers as they believe some students might turn down the offers.

Upenn math department normally has a incoming class of around 10-12 students according to their website.
