For those of you applying in the current cycle, what will you be up to this summer?

I applied for paid internships and hopefully I get one. If not I will just be working somewhere to get money for the next few years. I really wish I could just take the summer off to prevent potential burnout, but I simply can’t afford it :/

I'm interning/working for a local company to get some extra cash just in case for future needs.

Ideally preparing for quals and reviewing the topics that'll be covered in my first-year courses. It's probably more likely that I'll spend the summer resting since it's the last break I'll have in the foreseeable future.

I'll be interning at a national lab and plan on reading through a high-dim prob textbook!

Travelling and resting since the last few summers have been busy.

That sounds fun. I was also hoping to travel a little bit, mostly within the US.
