U Michigan interviews

Has anyone else receive interview requests from U Michigan? I am just wondering if they sent them in a batch or rolling

I received one last Friday, but no one has mentioned anything here or on grad cafe so i think they are sending it individually or in very small batches, but i wanted to check

I got an interview request on Friday too. I really doubt they are sending them in small batches or individually since they asked availability for the next 3-4weeks. Possible it will be rolling if enough people decline the invitation.

i dont know Michigan in particular, but the other interview i had this cycle it was mostly to ask something about your interests and profile and honestly probably gauge how likely you are to accept a potential offer. Michigan did say they are interviweing 10% and accepting 5% so the interview must be somewhat important for their considerations

I do know someone from AIM from two years ago who wasnt one of the candidates receiving the interview but got in anyway so I am really not sure about UMich!

I am pretty sure that the generic email they sent before said that the interview notifications will be made on a rolling basis

I applied for pure math and received an interview notification Friday. I also saw someone received one for AIM as well.

International applicant here. I was not invited to the interview.

i am international but ive heard of some friend that are not and also got invites so i dont think so

that is hard to say. on their original email they did say they were making rolling requests for interview, so i wouldnt say it is toounreasonable to expect a second batch to be sent later this month, but it is very hard to know. i wish you best of luck tho
