UMass Decisions?

I’ve seen some people here who heard back from UMass 1 month ago, but I’m still to hear anything from them. Is anyone else here in the same position?

Same. Kind of weird not hearing anything from Umass since I was accepted by several better schools.

Apply before deadline. International student. Apply to pure math with specialization in number theory. Get accepted by OSU, MSU, Arizona and CU Boulder. Probably will go to OSU and decline all other offers (including Umass if they accept me, but still no news from them lol.)

I’m also international and applied to number theory, but I got waitlisted by CU Boulder and MSU. If you know for a fact you won’t be attending some of these, consider withdrawing your application so that I have a chance of being accepted out of the waitlist.

Has anyone emailed the department head? I'm thinking about it.

I haven’t but was wondering the same. I haven’t heard back from them yet.

I emailed him and someone else responded and said that my application is still under active consideration. They made their first round of offers in January and will make additional offers on a rolling basis as spots continue to open up.

I got an email this morning saying I am very high on the waitlist. They might send out more offers near or on April 15, but they don’t know for sure.
