Did anyone hear back from Notre Dame?
3 people have reported on Grad Cafe that they have been waitlisted by Notre Dame on 02/22 but NO acceptances or rejections have been reported yet (which is kinda strange). Does somebody have any idea what's going on with Notre Dame, specifically for pure math?

PS: I don't know if any or all those waitlisted had applied for the pure math program. I also don't know if Notre Dame has a separate process for applied and pure math admissions.

i was contacted feb 8 regarding interest and then unoffically accepted feb 11 for pure math. if you check the first page of 2022 thread, someone else was also unofficially accepted.

Can’t tell you anything about this year’s admission, as I was on this sweat board in 2015 and earned my PhD in 2020.

I can however confirm that the pure math and applied math admission processes are completely different at Notre Dame, because these are two entirely different departments at my alma mater.

I did hear back from them yesterday, Feb 22nd. I was also waitlisted, though I wasn't among those who posted it on gradcafe. I applied for pure math.

Well that supposedly indicates that Notre Dame is done with initial acceptances and is now waitlisting people for pure math. So the situation for those like me who have not heard anything yet could be bad!

I got waitlisted but haven’t heard back from them, unfortunately.
