GRE Subject Test for Next Fall
For those of us who are applying for the 2023-2024 academic year (next fall application cycle), how can we be sure whether the GRE and/or GRE math subject test are required? It seems as if most of the websites still contain this year's info and are not yet updated. Will we really not know until a few months before the exam scores will be due? It seems like some math schools such as MIT and Harvard are done with the GRE for good. For others, how do we know if the non-requirement is temporary?

That doc seems to be for this cycle, not next year's.

Many of the schools have "no" under the "Temporary?" column. Schools will probably update their GRE policy in a few months (they are still busy reading applications for the current cycle). To be safe, just assume that you will have to take the GRE/mGRE until you know for certain.SpectralSequence wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 11:33 pmThat doc seems to be for this cycle, not next year's.

You can probably email the program. Odds are that it's going away permanently. Not requiring GRE is getting lots of schools more applications. It's against their interests to require it.
