Why isn't the Math Subject GRE offered in Summer?

I feel like it's pretty strange that the test isn't offered during summer when people would have more time to prepare for it. Does anyone know of a reason for this?

I feel like this is exactly why they don't offer it in summer. They know people won't have much time to study for the one in April so they'll have to retake it in September/October which means more money for ETS.

The final registration for the October test is BEFORE results come out for the previous test, so yeah: probably this makes them more money somehow.
