Hi,
I recently got an acceptance from two MS in Applied Mathematics programs: one from Columbia APAM and another from Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I'm leaning towards Columbia, but am a little bit skeptical because the program is offered by the engineering school rather than the math department. After this degree I plan to work in industry (probably quant finance).
Does anyone have any first-/second-hand experience of the Columbia program? As in how you would rate the overall experience, how easy it is to get professors to work with you, etc?
