oh i guess I technically dont but some people on gradcafe said they acceptances for math but didnt specify pure or applied

There is no acceptance on gradcafe yet. They only sent out a bunch of rejections.

I've heard that if you haven't heard you've been rejected from Brown you're on a waitlist. A few years ago someone was actually rejected late and then taken off the waitlist on like April 18th. Oh and there will be zero communication.

I've only heard of applied getting answers which is a completely separate department at Brown than pure so I'm not sure when pure math applicants will get any news.

According to the timeline on their website, getting interview offers may take a while. There was a person getting interviewed in March last year, saw it on gradcafe.

Grad Committee-Math at UIC, emailed me asking if I am still interested in the program. What could that mean?

I got the same email. They asked me if I was still interested, and also if I "have any updated information to share with us, in addition to your application." I'm really not sure what this means or what kind of updated information they are asking for...

Has anyone heard from Duke? I've seen a couple acceptances here and on Gradcafe on 2/2 and last year several people got rejections or acceptances on 2/2 or 2/3, so I'm getting antsy.

I'm a student there and I asked the director of graduate studies and he said the pure math section should have received invites to graduate student weekend last week and applied math section is still sending invites.
