Notify grad schools of fall grades?

A few of my application deadlines were before my fall semester grades were finalized, so I wasn't able to submit those with my application. Only one of those programs had a space post-submission specifically asking for fall grades if they weren't available at the time of submission. My fall grades were good, and specifically showed a good grade in a grad PDE's course. My GPA also went up from a 3.97/4 to a 4.0/4. Should I email the programs and give them my updated unofficial transcript, or is it too late or just not important?

How could your GPA have improved to 4.0? Is it because of a graduate course?
