Has anyone heard ANYTHING from UT Austin for pure math? Acceptance, rejection, waitlist, literally anything? Have you emailed and they gave you an automated response? Human response? Please let me know

I emailed March 6 because one of my recommenders submitted his letter pretty late. I haven’t heard back yet

I emailed them a while back and they said they got a very late start. I’m starting to die waiting because they are essentially the only school I haven’t heard back from that I would attend (I want to be closer to family, so it’s kind of my top choice now)

I was notified I was on the shortlist Feb 6, was formally accepted Feb 27, was invited to an in-person open house (which is tomorrow), and recently turned down the offer. My guess is that the admissions cycle is likely finished given this information, but maybe it is possible they would still admit some people off some waitlist after the open house.

Are you referring to CSEM? For pure math, I can't see any posts on any website about someone being admitted or rejected.

How long ago was their response? Could you tell us more about what they said?

I got an email back on Friday saying they've made the first round of offers, but in many cases they're still awaiting the decisions from the admitted students, so they may be able to make a few more offers this week.

Did Anyone hear the decision? I sent an email two days ago, and I literally have not heard anything and today is already 04/13. I have to make a decision by the 14th as one school wants me to make a decision by business day on the 14th.

I’m not sure who you emailed, but if it was the Graduate Program Administrator, I would email the Graduate Advisor as well. It took me a while to hear back from the administrator.

Haven’t heard a decision btw but I did get a response from the advisor
