UMN Waitlist?

Has anyone waitlisted heard anything back yet? Are they done sending out offers?

Last year they held an open house and some who were waitlisted were a part of it; did anything like that happen this year?

I don't know regarding your first question, but it seems that everyone at the open house was admitted not waitlisted.

Thanks for your response! How many people were at the open house? I’m just trying to gauge my (admittedly low) chances so that I can accept an offer I have at another school.

I tried to ask about my position on the waitlist, and I got a generic response that didn't really answer my question. So although I heard back, it was absent of useful information. I can tell you in the initial email they sent me they said I was "highly ranked" among the pool of applicants; I only add this to see if they've said that to every waitlistee.

I got the “highly ranked” email in Feb as well, so that makes us two

There was 2 open houses. The one I went to had Around 15 I think. Some told me they plan to decline, I think around 8 said they’re pretty sure they’d choose UMN.

I have seen this. This was posted sometime in mid-march and hasn't updated, so I believe this number is even higher.

yes! I went to one that's hosted last Thursday I believe. I can't really recall how many ppl there were but at least 3 including me. I'm also visiting UMN right now (I asked and they said yes and booked me flights & hotel).

It was virtual. I have not accepted the offer cuz I also have two other offers it's really hard to choose ... I have a meeting w my thesis advisor tmr night and I'll have a decision by then.
