Has anyone heard of ETH Zurich (Zurich GS Math) yet? It's been much longer than the 6 weeks for reviewing materials posted on their website.

Received a rejection email in January. I once saw a thread in reddit where the OPs situation was same as yours. After trying to contact them a couple of times OP received a rejection. So, I would suggest you to directly write an email to them.

I emailed them like two weeks ago but they told me that they were still reviewing materials and hoped to have some updates few days afterwards. However, then they just do not reply any inquiry email about updates from me since then.

Has anyone else been waitlisted from UIUC? I am having a hard time interpreting this result. We have been invited to a virtual open house which would normally be a strong indicator of likely acceptance. However, they also said that we are on their "long" waitlist. Any thoughts?

Also I would like to say, I messaged UCD last week, if you have not gotten an offer or rejection, it means you are waitlisted. They only did first round offers so far. Best of luck to whoever applied

U of T never sends rejections until you ask them to. This is not fair though considering the application fee. We should at least deserve to get the decision on time.

Anybody hear about the FAFSA stuff slowing everything down this year? Would explain why so many decisions are delayed from when they came out last year. Saw someone say there may even be decisions coming out through June if it doesn't get resolved soon really hope that's an exaggeration.

A professor from Duke sent me this when I asked for status update:

We received an unprecedented number of PhD applicants this year that included many exceptionally qualified applicants. We have made our first round of PhD offers and are now awaiting decisions from these applicants. At this stage we think it unlikely that we will be able to make any further offers.

Good luck with your other PhD applications and your future mathematical career!

You'll be fine, either do a Masters first or take a year off, get a decent job and try again the following year

What if already did that lol. Third times the charm maybe? I’ve only gotten into my safety so far and after visiting I’m really not hyped about going. I’m headed for 12/13 rejections unless I get of some waitlists. Idk if I’m unlucky or what bc when I email the that rejected me it’s all ‘there was no issue with the strength of your application we just had overwhelmingly many applicants’.

Has anyone got acceptance from Kentucky? I have only seen a couple of Waitlists on the Applicant profile thread. Nothing on gradcafe either.

I am also on the waitlist. I talked to their graduate advisor and it seems that their incoming class will be extremely small. From the numbers he provided me, I'd assume around 5-6. It's possible those accepted just didn't post on here or gradcafe.

I wouldn't lose hope. It does seem like the waitlist is small and additional offers would be made. However, it will likely take until April for other students to decline their offers given the April 15th deadline.
