Schools known to release decisions early?

Post by fiveier.analysis » Sun Oct 15, 2023 1:41 pm

Have been crawling through the data here as well as gradcafe, reddit and google. Do anyone know which schools in particular have reliably extended first round of offers before end of January?

According to the data, it seems most top 10 schools (possibly except UCLA and Berkeley) release most acceptances and rejections before end of January, they actually are considerate about applicant's time and stress. But it doesn't seem like a lot of other schools do this, I can only find Ohio State who do this and maybe somtimes Georgia Tech.

I'm trying to see if I can hold on to applying to some safety schools with late deadlines i.e. January - mid February. If I got into one school then there's really no point applying to these safety schools. I'm trying to not flood my LOR writers with 10 emails of asking for letters all at once meanwhile can also save me some money.
