Would a high score on the GRE help an application more than not submitting a score? Or is it a situation where a good score doesn't help, but a bad score hurts you?
I'm planning on applying next year and a couple of the schools I've been considering strongly recommend or require the MGRE. Since it's only a couple of schools, I might just drop them if the math GRE won't help applying elsewhere.
Is the MGRE worth taking?

A bad score won't help.

Yes, obviously, but I'm wondering if the converse is true. That is, does a good score help significantly more than just not submitting it.

depends on the program. if you have a good score, then show it off. otherwise dont submit unless its mandatory.
if its mandatory and you have a bad score, retake the exam
