I'm not really comfortable to state my interviewers, but my interview is scheduled for next week. I listed a few areas of research in my application (some very pure, some quite applied). I believe I am being considered for operator algebras in particular.

Just got invited for interview at Oxford!
May I ask: Who are your interviewers? When is your interview scheduled? What is your proposed field of research?
Could you maybe post a screenshot of your invitation? Feel free to censor anything you feel uncomfortable with!

Thank you and congrats! It appears to me Berkeley is releasing decisions in multiple waves? I remember seeing someone else's acceptance somewhere a couple of days earlier

It’s very rude to say that. I have reported your post.
I don’t understand. Other ppl have even posted pictures of (unofficial) acceptance letters here?

I think the acceptance you are referring to is an unofficial acceptance, so I don’t think that is true (though I would love it to be so).

Interesting. I didn’t receive any email or update in the portal.

Did you apply to PACM or pure maths? (I think they have different timelines)
I applied for pure maths. The rejections are only for pure but for some reason, there is no update on my portal (I think it's a glitch).

In hindsight the increase in minimal grad school stipends kinda forced the low acceptance rates this year.

No, it's the first day in February. People can hear back in March for safeties and sometimes get off waitlists in April. Also you still haven't heard back from 16 schools???

I have heard back from 3 and it's all rejections. And honestly it doesn't seem like my safeties will admit me. Seems like a second 9-0 in my life. Even Barcelona doesn't put that many bad performances.

Oxford sends interviews based on research group. Different groups have different DGS so interview invitation will be sent separately.

Also I believe it's rolling.

Algebra already sent some and random system CDT as well.

Do you know about the Geometry group? I don't believe it's rolling. If you compare the Gradcafe results from the previous year, you'll find that almost everybody got interviewed at the end of January. How do you know that algebra and random systems sent out interview invitations?

Thank you very much for the information! I hope you get the offer letter soon and a nice TA/RA stipend. Could you help to post that if you receive those in the near future?
Sure!
Sorry about the dumb question. Did you hear back from them? An admitted student told me the visit day is Feb. 17th so I really don’t think I have any chance now.

When I started looking at schools my advisor told me to apply to as many schools as I was willing to because usually, the one you pick is the one you're at till you graduate and you want to have as many options as possible. His usual recommendation is 12-20 if you're willing to and can swing it financially.

I applied for 13 programs in Amerian and only got one rej now. I thought they tend to release admissions this time, maybe I'll get rejs when they complete their second rounds.

I believe that falls under the realms of financial mathematics, sadly outside my area of expertise. (Money better now that union fight for more money, but still not great, and teaching load is pretty hard).

according to gradcafe, this year's uw cohort is 1/4 the size of the previous year. i would expect something similar at all the schools whose unions won a big raise (including my ug institution, which is internally confirmed to be taking noticeably less students this year)

So far i have not recieved anything,
Only event that im aware of is:
Graduate School Fair
Arizona State University
Tempe campus
Feb. 24
9:30 a.m.–2.p.m

Did your friend got email?

Does anyone know what the interview of Notre Dame will be like?
Did you receive an interview from Notre Dame?
Yeah, I received the email.
Are you applying for pure or applied, in case you feel comfortable sharing? I haven't heard anything from them, so I feel like I'm cooked. :(

I am applying for applied math. Don’t worry as they may send interviews while reviewing the materials.

Thank you. It eases my anxiety a bit. I'll check that with them!

Has anybody heard anything from Kansas State? Last year somebody got accepted on 22 Jan.
I received an offer on the 23rd
Did you receive an official email? Or how did you receive the offer?

I got an email to check the portal, where the official admission letter was. They sent the immigration document a few days later
