Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Would you mind letting me know how you know this? Did they reach out to you or did you email them?

Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
They got an email to RSVP for the visit after the admission email. They also mentioned the TA offer came roughly 4 days after their admission. They got TA and ~3K extra for first year. I don’t know why ASU didn’t provide you these information, perhaps you should ask them, but they said they never heard about the Graduate School Fair.Lilium wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 5:49 amSo far i have not recieved anything, iknownothing wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:32 pmSorry about the dumb question. Did you hear back from them? An admitted student told me the visit day is Feb. 17th so I really don’t think I have any chance now.
Only event that im aware of is:
Graduate School Fair
Arizona State University
Tempe campus
Feb. 24
9:30 a.m.–2.p.m
Did your friend got email?

Sadly nothing for me yet. Did you only see the post on gradcafe? I hope a single post may not be reliable (i.e. unofficial or fake) so that we still have chances. They added it today but said it was offer on Jan 31, which is suspicious because no one else got it on Jan 31.

Yea that’s the only thing I’ve seen. Hopefully it’s fake but this is right around when they release unofficial offers usuallyrejectionsonly wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 3:26 pmSadly nothing for me yet. Let's ignore it and have a good weekend first at least.NewAcct wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 3:27 pmYea that’s the only thing I’ve seen. This sounds like coping lol. There’ve been a couple of schools this cycle where I only saw one acceptance before they sent out rejections. MIT obviously is really selective so it’s perfectly possible that they only have a couple of admits who frequent these online fora, and only one who posted their acceptance. But we’ll just have to wait and see.rejectionsonly wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 3:29 pmThey added it today but said it was offer on Jan 31, which is suspicious because no one else got it on Jan 31. Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
It seems that last year, Americans and non-Americans had different dates when they were accepted to MIT. Maybe that's what they do, or maybe since they accept about 50 people they send it over a few days. Has anyone heard from them on this forum? Also has anyone heard from Cambridge math (PhD)?
Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Interview yes, offer no. Apparently 2 weeks after interview you should expect a responseHagoromo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 5:15 pmIt seems that last year, Americans and non-Americans had different dates when they were accepted to MIT. Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Last Monday (Jan 20) Cambridge sent some interviews. I think UCLA is sending acceptance separately as well.Hagoromo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 5:15 pmIt seems that last year, Americans and non-Americans had different dates when they were accepted to MIT. Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Yes, but the application overall (IE, without funding) is not due until the 3rd. Why would they release decisions before they even have all of the applications?

Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Two years ago when I attended part III, I applied early for funding and received a decision before the second application deadline.
Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Given that no one has posted of any part iii acceptances, do we have reason to believe that’s happening this year? If not, why are you guys worrying yourselves about it? (I did not apply for funding, and therefore I am not worried about it).whatsgoingon wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 12:09 amTwo years ago when I attended part III, I applied early for funding and received a decision before the second application deadline.

It looks to me historically most school release acceptance before mid-February. Should I be worried if I have nothing around Feb 15th?rejectionsonly wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 3:29 pmThey added it today but said it was offer on Jan 31, which is suspicious because no one else got it on Jan 31. No idea about NT. Different groups consider applications separately, so their interview invitation may be sent at different times.

Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
I'm really sweating now. I have 4.0 GPA in both my undergraduate and master's degree, and both are top 20 schools. I did 10 grad-level classes during master's before application, and I had 6 during my undergrad. I applied to top 80 programs and got 0 acceptance or interview now, am I too ambitious? I have only one strong letter. Does one need at least two?
Re: 2025 Sweat Thread
Based on your gpa, you will be accepted; however, you need to wait more, most answers will be out in late february.iknownothing wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 1:32 pmI'm really sweating now. Yes, I think you need at least 2 strong letters. How many programs did you applied to?iknownothing wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 1:32 pmI'm really sweating now.
