The actual exam and the practice test?
Is it true that the actual exam is much harder than the practice booklet and the problems in "Crackin the GRE"? Could anyone give some suggestion?

even i`m taking this test for the first tym this november, but its known actual exam is tougher than the practice tests...but toughness in the sense of more calculations and weird wording in the problems

I found the individual questions on my real exam to be quite similar to the questions on past released exams by ETS. The exam as a whole might have been a bit harder but the curve was more lenient too. It all balanced out in the end.

i just took the exam today, and i must say it was harder than the four previous practice exams that are in circulation.

But I can almost guarantee you that it will be scaled differently too.

Even I found the exam on October 15th tougher. Did someone else feel that way ?

Real tests are harder, pointlessly so. I'm pretty pissed at ETS. I started to get shell shocked at the 1:50 mark and my last hour was not productive. You start to do the problems and realize that many are harder than expected. You end up with half finished questions, you realize you should have skipped the question and you burn time. After the 3rd or 4th such question your head starts spinning. Perhaps I'm under-prepared and don't deserve and excellent score. Fine, so be it. But the bait and switch is unconscionable. I can only hope for a curve.
