Biomathematics Ph.D. Programs

Post by tikalora » Wed May 30, 2012 6:56 pm

Hello all,

I am planning to apply to a variety of differently titled mathematics Ph.D. programs in the fall. Some are just "mathematics," some are "applied mathematics," and some are "biomathematics." The binding between them, however, is that they all have a good number of faculty that do research in biomathematics. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for graduate mathematics programs that have a good focus in biomathematics. I'm looking specifically for Ph.D. programs.

Schools I'm already planning to apply to (all of these were suggested by my advisor/honors mentor/research mentor who specializes in biomathematics):

N.C. State
U Maryland
Duke
U Tennessee Knoxville
Vanderbilt
UCLA
U Utah
U Arizona

Let me know if you have any other suggestions, and also let me know if you think my list is good to go! Thanks :)
